A winning selection for the 2006 Media that Matters Film Festival, this piece demonstrates the erosion of culture and history caused by rigid copyright enforcement. Using the real life example of the award winning PBS series on the Civil Rights Movement, "Eyes on the Prize," which went out of circulation for ten years because of expense royalty fees, this film advocates artists to exercise their right to claim "fair use" of their work, or risk it being lost forever.
*NOTE: Some of the information in this film has become outdated. After raising $800,000, Eyes on the Prize was re-cleared and now has limited distribution rights.
